Description

As a food inspector in Arjeplog municipality, you will primarily work with supervision according to food legislation, but the work also includes handling and supervision of alcohol, tobacco, and over-the-counter medications.

The work involves supervision and inspections at businesses, handling complaints, providing advice and information to businesses and the public. The work also includes investigations related to the assessment of permit applications and ongoing operations.

Your duties will also include providing advice and service to our citizens and relevant stakeholders, as well as making decisions in administrative matters. We have a far-reaching delegation from the board. The work is varied and includes both office and fieldwork. Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education in environmental and health protection, or another academic education that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of food safety and food legislation. Experience and knowledge of public authority operations, public investigations regarding alcohol and tobacco legislation are also meritorious. If you have education or experience in business economics, this is a plus.

The work as a food inspector involves many contacts with people. Therefore, you need to be confident in your role, service-oriented, and have a positive attitude towards your work and the people you meet. It is important that you are comfortable in an outward-facing role and have an easy time expressing yourself well in speech and writing. You must have a commitment to the tasks and the ability to independently plan, structure, and carry out your work. An important quality is to balance between exercising authority and a more advisory role. For us, customer interaction is important to achieve good long-term results. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A B driver's license is required.

We use EDP Vision as a case management system; if you have experience with the system, it is a plus.
